Julie L. Woods
Julie Woods joined the firm in 1992 and became a partner in 1998. She has twenty years of experience representing a wide range of clients in California state courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Ms. Woods’ name appears on dozens of published opinions, and her recent successes include McMurray v. City of Burbank (2006) [reversing a judgment in an employment discrimination case and directing entry of judgment for the defendant], and Bosworth v. Whitmore (2006) [reversing a $2.5 million arbitration award in favor of former NFL star Brian Bosworth].
Before joining the firm, Ms. Woods was a litigation associate with the Los Angeles firm of Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro. She has authored and co-authored chapters of practice guides for both The Rutter Group and Continuing Education of the Bar. Ms. Woods graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She received her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.
